Christmas with the Bowers family

Every year we have Christmas with the Bowers side which is my Granny’s side of the family. We do it at her church and have lunch and then Santa makes an appearance. I always take a whole bunch of pictures and because of my lack of time and desire to catch up on my blogging, I am posting the pictures without much explanation. Most of them are the kids playing. Santa came and both Hannah and Sallie loved him and Charlie was terrified, as expected. It was cute and we had to torture him for a minute to get a picture. Then we all headed to my Dad’s house for Christmas with him and his kids and their spouses. We had a great time as always! We got a great family picture of everyone that ended up being a framer.

I love Christmas and all the family time that comes with it. Thankfully, both of our families live very close so get-togethers on holidays are pretty easy. We enjoyed the day and were on to my Mom and Freddie’s for Christmas with them in a couple of days.

Sallie’s Christmas Program

Sallie’s school had their annual Christmas program and I couldn’t wait to see my sweet Sallie sing all the songs she had been singing for a month. Well, she was SO excited to see me that all she could do was wave and grin from ear to ear. My heart melts just looking back at these pictures and at the excitement that seeing me brought her. I love this girl and all of her silliness. Even when I motioned for her to turn around and sing she would sing for 5 seconds and then look back at me waving and grinning. Be still my heart!

Afterwards, she got pictures with Charlie and I and then we had a sit down lunch. I must say that she really enjoyed every second of undivided attention that we gave her. It’s not often so she took advantage. Usually I have Charlie on my hip or I’m chasing him so it was nice to leave him with Sarah (our babysitter) and get to enjoy her!

A happy girl!

She even got to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what she wanted him to bring her. We loved her program and will certainly miss not having that next year when she is in kindergarten at Round Top.
