The Easter Bunny Came!!!

Yes, he did come and brought lots of goodies with him! Everyone woke up bright and early Easter morning…like 5:30 early! Sallie was coughing her head off and couldn’t sleep therefore she also woke Hannah and Charlie woke up because he was ready for a bottle. Regardless, the kids were so exciting about seeing their baskets.

While the girls were more than excited about the Easter bunny and seeing what he brought, we made sure to remind them over and over of the real meaning of Easter. They loved reading the Easter story although Hannah would close her eyes and ears when we talked about the crucifixion. It made her so sad, but knowing that Jesus died on the cross for all of us so that if we believe in him we’ll have eternal life gives us so much to look forward to!

Attack of the hair

We all know that Charlie has a ton of hair, often times people call him Justin Beiber. Ha Ha...I think they think that I actually style his hair like Justin's, but it's just the way it grows-EVERYWHERE!! I love it and have not wanted to cut it but I know it is in desperate need of one! When it starts obstructing his view, he needs a haircut! I had to post some pictures of one night out of the bath tub when it was crazy!

So the next time you see my sweet boy, he may have a hair cut and if he hasn't, make me go get one! :)

Easter Egg Hunt

Hannah and Sallie love nothing more than an Easter egg hunt so Charlie and I decided to have our very own in our front yard! We filled the eggs with candy and headed outside!

And they're off!

There are so many pictures, but I loved them all and am not very good at choosing! :)

Disney on Ice

Charlie and took the girls to see Disney on Ice and we took Hannah’s friend Wynne. They were all more than excited and talked about it all week. We went opening night at 7 which we thought might be a little too late for a school night, but we don’t do it often. Jenny was so sweet and kept Charlie at home so we didn’t have to take him! Thank goodness for a sweet sister!

They LOVED when Malificent from Sleeping Beauty came out and were screaming…it was so cute! They acted like she would come into the stand to get them!

Sallie talked all day about seeing Buzz and Woody from Toy Story and it was heart wrenching when we had to tell her that they weren’t coming. We stayed until about 15 minutes before the show ended and then left (and made sure to ask a worker if any of the Toy Story characters were coming) to beat the traffic. We stopped on the way out and let all of the girls pick out a toy. Sallie chose a Buzz Lightyear toy. We later found out that they came out at the very end of the show. Poor Sallie, maybe next year! (by the way, she was such a big girl and didn’t cry or fuss at all about it and I know she was sad)

We had a great time seeing all of the Disney characters! Next time, we will remember to bring a sweater…it was FREEZING in there because of the ice! Nonetheless, it was a great night with the girls!
