Charlie Jr.-13 months young!

The expressions that he makes are cuter and funnier everyday and the picture on the right is my favorite one! He often makes that face when he wants something and also whines which means he wants whatever I have. It’s funny sometimes, but can get annoying after the 800th time. He is so fun-loving and has a cute sense of humor already. If you make a face back at him, he laughs so hard!

He continues to keep me on my toes watching his every move because he is usually trying to get into something he isn’t supposed to. I feel like I am constantly telling him “no no” and he often says, “na na” back to me. (and smiles) He doesn’t really get it yet. Smile

He is still on the bottle and I am trying to tell myself to ween him off, but it’s harder with him. I will soon though. I have given him a sippy cup once or twice and does fine with it. He eats A LOT!! Pretty much any and everything and he doesn’t seem to be picky at all, at least not now. A couple of weeks ago, I made him start wearing shoes. He didn’t seem to love them and it was pretty hard to stuff his fat feet (that he curls) in his shoes. He is getting better now though! He is still a great sleeper and has slept as late as 8:30, but usually around 7.

For his birthday, he got several trucks and boy toys and has really enjoyed playing with them, as have the girls. He knows the truck say’s “Vroom” and also can tell you what the cow, doggy, kitty cat and snake says. My favorite is the snake!! So adorable!!

Pictures

He loves to play with his lincoln logs and this picture captures his excitement when he sees them!

He mostly enjoys dumping them out and then throwing them. That’s normal right?

Collages2

He is definitely “all boy” climbing everything in sight. His little legs are so scratched up from climbing the steps outside, but it doesn’t bother him a bit. If you walk past the door, he starts whining because he just loves being outside more than anything.

2011-08-302

He still puts everything in his mouth, loves to dash for the toilet to stick his hand in and open and shut drawers and cabinets… so we finally got around to making our life a little easier. Charlie put the locks on the cabinets and everyone understands that when they leave the bathroom, the lid must be down!!! All in all, life is so busy and non-stop with this little boy, but he is worth it a thousand times over! As everyone says, I couldn’t imagine my life without him. He makes his two big sisters happier than I would have ever thought. I pictured that wearing off some with him, but they still want to wake up in the morning and run in his room to see/play with him. They are my go-to babysitters and have saved him from putting small things in his mouth or climbing up the stairs more times than I can count.

2011-08-303

How could you not just love this little face so much! I know, I am biased! We love you sweet boy and can’t believe you are already over a year!

Snaggle Tooth

This will be the third time the tooth fairy has graced our house. She worked on this tooth until finally it was so loose, daddy just barely moved it and out it came. She was just as excited as with the first one. She lost her first two (bottom two) within days of one another and it seems it will be that way with the top two also. The other one is super loose.

Aunt Dee gave Hannah a tooth fairy pillow for her birthday and she couldn’t wait to use it. It also came with magic fairy dust so that you sprinkle it on the pillow and viola, the tooth fairy knows where to find your tooth. Genius!! Here daddy is doing the honors and the girls watching so intensely. If you are wondering why my kids always seem to be wearing footy pajamas, it’s because they are pretty much obsessed. (esp. Sallie) It doesn’t matter if it’s winter or summer she wants to wear them. She is usually found with nothing but panties on right before we go to bed! Smile Anyways, the tooth fairy made another visit to our house and made a happy little girl out of Hannah the next morning!

Sallie’s first day of 4K

How can my little Sallie be starting 4 yr.old kindergarten? Time goes by way too quickly and I don’t like it! Seems like she was just starting in the two year old program at North Trenholm. Last year, she only went 3 days a week and this year she will be going 5. Kinda sad, but I know it’s good for her. She has a fantastic teacher at Trinity and Sallie is in love with Mrs. Jill already! These are some sweet pictures I got before we headed to school.

2011-08-22

Sallie got a new book bag, just like Hannah and she was most excited about it! Here she is modeling it!2011-08-226

Of course, this cute little fella happily played in the driveway while I snapped some pictures of Sallie. (Can’t you tell he’s teething?) I had to let them wear their matching lemonade stand outfits one last time before I had to retire Charlie’s Sad smile

2011-08-221

This year, my friend Amy and I decided to carpool together since she has one at Round Top and one at Trinity! This is cute little Lucy (aka Sallie’s new best friend). It was fun for the two of them to be able to walk in together. So excited about this year for so many different reasons. Great teachers, great friends and lots of learning!

2011-08-222

The walked in their classroom and had to find their name next to their hook so they could hang their book bag.

2011-08-223

I love both of these sweet little expressions. She found a seat and had to color her fish and write her name.

2011-08-224

I was so proud of her! She wrote her name and I hugged and kissed her and said goodbye. She had a great first day and many more to come, I’m sure!

Hannah’s first day of 1st grade

With a lot of excitement, Hannah headed to her first day of first grade! She was lucky enough to be able to “loop” with her kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Novack and have all of her same classmates move up a grade with her. They only had one new girl in her class and Hannah chose to sit beside her. Having so much familiarity helped her not to be nervous, but very excited. (and me too! Smile) We snapped a couple pictures of Hannah and then Sallie had to take some with the big first grader too.

2011-08-157

She got a new (and bigger) book bag this year. She loves all the pockets and “hiding places” to put stuff.

2011-08-152

A quick kiss from her little brother and it was time to walk her in school. We made it a family affair!

2011-08-153

Daddy walks hand in hand with both of his little girls and I thought these were sweet pictures. I can’t believe Sallie will be at Round Top next year.

2011-08-154

They even stayed in the same classroom as last year, but it was set up a little different. Still, she knew to find her name and cubby and sit down.

2011-08-155

I snapped two more pictures of her sitting at her desk, kissed her and we all left. She seemed fine and I know she will have a fantastic year-just like the last!!

Leapin’ Lizards with Cousins

We planned one last play date before school started with my sister in law Kelly and my sweet little nieces Whitney and Allie. We decided to meet at Leapin’ Lizards so the girls could get lots of energy out along with my very active little buddy. Charlie’s favorite the entire time was pushing around the buggy, and was happy as long as he had it but if he didn’t…

                                                                      This is how he was…

2011-08-105

The girls enjoyed running, jumping, sliding and just being with each other! They always get along so well!

2011-08-101

And the “famous Sallie pose!” She loves the camera and is always willing to strike a pose!!

Sweet times and fun memories with cousins! Thanks girls, we had so much fun and are ready to play again soon!

Hannah at Art Camp

This summer we decided to let Hannah do an art camp. She had her birthday party at Tag-it art and absolutely loved it. She knew she wanted to do a camp there plus she is so artsy and loves anything to do with crafting so it was right up her alley. The theme for the week was “The Beach” so each day they created a piece of art using different mediums. On Friday, they had an art show with each artist’s work hung on the wall with a description beside it. I hope you enjoy looking at what my little artist created. Now I just have to find a way to display it all!!

After looking at all the art, I took a quick picture of Ava (Hannah’s best friend), Hannah and Sallie.  We are most definitely doing this camp again next year for both girls! Art Camp6
