I decided one morning before school while the kids were cute and not looking like ragamuffins to get a couple pictures for our Christmas card! I thought it would be clever to give Charlie an M&M so that he would sit still…good idea and bad idea. It did make him sit still, but it also gave him green teeth! Cute pictures anyways!

Picking out our Christmas tree
We headed to pick out our Christmas tree with the kiddos. We knew this year would be a little different with the little man. We usually put our tree in the den, but since Charlie is into everything and because we didn’t want broken ornaments, we put it in the foyer. We had a gate from the den to the foyer so lucky for us, he couldn’t get to it. He thought all of the round ornaments were “balls.”
The girls assisted Charlie in picking out the tree while I followed behind Charlie who was wandering everywhere.
Sweet Hannah watches after her brother for a few minutes. I love her arm on his shoulder!
I think they found the one! We tied it to the top and headed home to decorate it!
Here is our tree all decorated and then a view from the top of the stairs. I am going to really miss this house. This was our last Christmas here and I’m definitely a little nostalgic about moving out of this home. We are so excited about our new home, but we’ll surely miss this one that is full of memories!

16 months old
Wow, I can’t believe that my baby is now 16 months old! He is such a fun, energetic, and mischievous little fella’! He LOVES to climb everything and he has even learned that if he puts something close to the table, he can stand on it to get on the table. He loves his ball more than anything. Loves to throw it for as long as you will! He plays with his two sweet sisters and it is the most precious thing to watch. Although he loves them, he also loves to pull their hair and slap at them (in the face). They are still so patient with him. (most of the time)
His favorite song: The wheels on the Bus
His favorite food: He loves almost everything, but he especially loves “MM’s” (M&M’s)
His favorite toy: his ball
His stats at the doctor this month were: weight: 24.5 lbs (50 %), length: 32 1/4 in (75%)
His doctor asked if he said at least 5 words and I said he says at least 15. His vocabulary seems to be increasing daily. He is a talker! Here is a list of the words he says.
Mama, Da Da, Nana (Hannah), SaSa (Sallie), GiGi (for his favorite-Jenny) PaPa, Pappy, Ball (ba), Juice, Shoes, Baby, Snack (Nak), Cracker, Socks, Choo-choo, Bubble, Bye Bye, No, Nite-nite, Hat, Hot, Elmo, and “This.”
I couldn’t figure out why he kept saying “this” for so many different things and then it hit me. When I think he wants something, I always say, “do you want this” so to him, everything is “this.” I guess I need to start identifying everything by its name. This boy will getting a haircut soon whether he likes it or not. (Every time we take him to get a hair cut he screams, cries and fights as hard as he can.)
We love you sweet boy!

Thanksgiving 2011
We headed to Camden to eat Thanksgiving dinner at my grandparents house, but before that we stopped by my Dad and Jayne’s house to visit with them. The kids are always so excited to see them and it shows in these pictures. They love their “PaPa,” but I can’t blame them, he’s the best!
Charlie enjoyed himself. He found a ball to throw, and explored everything his little hands could reach!
What an awesome picture! I love this. I love the colors that Jayne has on (so festive and fall), I love my dad’s smile and how his hand is around Charlie’s whole chest, and the sweet innocent look on Charlie’s face. I must frame this one!
Time for a family picture attempt. We took several that were just ok, and then….
We got a great one!! Everyone looking and smiling-must be a miracle! I loved it so I made it the picture for our Christmas card! We loved our quick visit with my dad and Jayne so we headed to my grandparents to have lunch there. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any pictures.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Sallie’s Thanksgiving Program
Trinity had their Thanksgiving program that they always have. All the classes sing a handful of songs, and then we have a wonderful Thanksgiving feast! This year, I didn’t have to bring Charlie along so I could actually watch uninterrupted and give lots of attention to my little pilgrim. Big Charlie was out of town so he couldn’t come, but he got to see a video and lots of pictures! She was happy walking out once she spotted me and it made me melt.
She looks a little scared here, but I don’t think she was.
Sallie and Lucy…they are too cute together!
Of course, she poses for me and shows me those adorable dimples…LOVE!
This is Sallie’s friend Jes’ or should I say boyfriend? At least that’s what she calls him. They always sit beside each other and love to play together. She is always talking about Jes’ and his little brother Hoffman. She says, “mommy, Hoffman is the cutest little boy and I just love him.” This girl is such a little mommy.
This is the infamous “Mrs. Jill!” Sallie loves her so much and can’t get enough of her. On the second day of Thanksgiving break, she said that she missed her and was ready to go back to school! She is such an excellent, loving teacher that I am thankful for!
I enjoyed this sweet time with Sallie at her Thanksgiving program!
